Pay perks and privileges.
The Parliament has enhanced the pay, perks and allowances of the Parliamentarians. It is certainly an act to be welcomed. All over India all are getting enhanced pay, salaries, wages and other remuneration on enhanced basis then why there should be hue and cry over this matter. To take decision and there is no harm if such decision has been taken.
One columnist from media has ironically said in an article that the privileges of the parliamentarians should be withdrawn. Why such angular attitude of the media should be. The privileges are the part of these members recognized by law so that they may exercise their authority vested in them. The sarcastic attitude of the media is beyond understanding.
Why the media claims such privileges, which are not granted under any law and arrogantly exercise such privileges. Millionaires own the media and in fact government is not concerned with this business of media, as it is totally private one. The attitude of average Indian is Apani Chapati Pe ghee and Dusare Ki Chapatti Bhe Hamare Thalimen.(Mine is mine and yours is also mine).
One thing that may be opposed is that of the pension. Now a day a government servant is not entitled to pension why Parliamentarians should get it without serving for such long time. On one hand government wishes to stop pension after completion of 70 years of a pensioner and a parliamentarian gets pension even if he has not completed a period of 5 years. This is called looting.
